This is the time of the year where racing fans come all over the world to watch in Indiana. The race, track, the bricks, and so much more. Some people come for the cars, some for the people, some for the music, and just all over. For myself, this is my second time coming to this event. Our hubby has been going to these races since he was a kid. With our wifey, it’s been 4 years now, I believe. While our son is 3 years as well. This is the Indy 500! 🏎️
Starting of the day was at 5:30am and it was an early morning. Got ready, started driving, and wasn’t bad of a drive until we hit closer to the Indy race area streets. We say that because it’s like crazy packed and we parked like closer to the stands. We are lucky to find parking though so we were happy. It was such a nice day and everything.
Starting of the race was different since it started to sprinkled so it was a little delay but great though. Little quiet then it was before too. But the start is strong and so fast and they are running over 200 mph. I personally loved the music that was being played. The marching band of Purdue was amazing as can be and could listen for hours.
There are so many racers today. Scott McLaughlin had a small wreck and it gave the race a delay. He was the yellow car of #3 . But that didn’t stop them from racing though. But he didn’t got that far into the race, he did a few laps before his car stopped. The racers are going as crazy and going strong. Starting at lap #40 and starting is Rossi while Rasumeen is in and out of #1 and #2 spot. Another popular person that my hubby loves is Newgarden which is the red, white, and yellow. While at lap 60 ish, Kyle Kirkwood is first. But it changes so much with the top 10 going. Talked with other people too and they wanted Marcus Ericsson. But it was so surprising to see who really won.

In the 70 ish laps, Rossi car engine caught fire. Hopefully he goes back in but around that time he stops and in #31st. So sad about that but he did great though. But as what we seen, there was gear problems and fluid coming as well. Newgarden is out also because of fluid and everything. There are so many cars that is out this year that it’s hard to cheer for someone. Conner Daily is another good one that is strong. But Alex Palou has gotten good, he was so close being in and out of the lead.

For myself, I do like colors of cars because as a designer, I love to look and everything. I’m not sure what would be favorite because there are so many colors. Plus they were going so fast so it was hard to catch any colors since they were rolling down the track at top speed. But my favorite car by looking at images would be green and white of the Indy 500 car. I don’t think it’s a racing car but it’s pretty cool though.
The weather this year was a lot better than it was the last year that I went. Last year, it was pouring down rain. So that made the race with a delay. This year was a sprinkle and a little delay until 1:30 ish pm. Then it went clear and cool for the rest of the day. It was so nice that we all just played outside where we parked until cars that were leaving was being less clustered.
At the ending of the laps, there was so many people out and who won was Alex Palou. The top 10 was Alex Palou, Pato O'Ward, Kyle Kirkwood, Christian Lundgaard, Felix Rosenqvist, Scott Dixon, Scott McLaughlin, Will Power, Colton Herta, and Marcus Ericsson. There was so many that gone out so it surprised us on who won.
